Thirteen-year-old Bethany Hamilton's life changed in a split second when a 14 foot shark bit off her left arm as she was surfing in the waters of Hawaii. Bethany's redemption story resonates with the MARK.INC team because she found help and hope in Jesus when the lights in her life went out.
As you know, Bethany, better known as "Soul Surfer," the name of the movie that tells her story, is coming to Delaware on April 8-9 as our guest. Bethany will not only speak at our annual spring benefit and a Brunch with Bethany on Saturday morning, but Chuck and I will be interviewing Bethany for one of our Learning to See When the Lights Go Out audio resources.
Bethany's redemption story will be the centerpiece of a new audio series that addresses the challenges teens and young adults face. In 2016, we hope to produce this mini-series and offer help and hope to teens and young adults who are struggle with eating disorders, cutting, body image and bullying.
Your gifts make it possible for us to dream big about the many ways we can offer help and hope to the hurting.
Thank you for standing with us! We hope to see you at the Ride the Wave with Soul Surfer Bethany Hamilton the weekend of April 8 and 9!
